That's right, I personally feel called to gather together individuals and ministries who have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a passion for golf to come together in unity in order that the world would know that God sent Jesus Christ.
I have observed since 1990 that there are numbers of these people and many ministerial organizations using the game of golf to reach out for the Kingdom of God.
Did you know that the Lord engaged with PGA Tour players in the mid-1960's; bringing like-hearted Players together in a Bible Study to regularly have "church" at Tour locations and study the Bible as well as encourage one another? This developed into Links Players International over time.
Did you know that the Fellowship of Christian Athletes joined together with a Navy Captain in the 1970's to encourage young golfers to participate in their camps in order to improve their game, yet, to engage with other Christian golfers to build their faith as well?
Did you know that College Golf Fellowship was started back in 1980 as the PGA Tour Bible Study (started in the 1960's) invited college golfers to join them in order "to build into the lives of young men and encourage them in their life and faith"?
Are you aware that there are chaplains actively engaging with professional golfers throughout the world to expand and encourage them in Kingdom work?
Do you know the REAL story of Payne Stewart?
How about the background and story of Seven Days in Utopia?
How about what's happening with Youth With a Mission - DTSGolf??
Were you aware there are numerous individuals and two organizations that I know of that are using golf as an outreach to evangelism and discipleship; Challenge Golf Association and In His Grip.
Or, lastly for now, the real reason Bernhard Langer is sooooo driven on the Tour Champions??
