How, you say?
Both of these young men are followers of Jesus Christ. Yup, that's true. Ask 'em!! Would someone please ask 'em??
Several years ago Kingdom.golf was conducting a radio interview with Tom Lehman and he was asked how he came to be in golf ministry. Tom, as kindly as he does everything, stated that he was not IN golf ministry, he was blessed by God to have an incredible talent for golf and has striven to become excellent at that talent in order to well represent his Lord and have the opportunity to speak to others about his faith in Jesus Christ. For any of us that were paying attention to the happenings following the death of Payne Stewart and the incredible outpouring of love and support, especially from the attendees of the Bible Study conducted on the Tour, saw faith in action honoring one of their brothers in the faith.
Rickie and Jordan are followers of Jesus Christ and, quite obviously, are incredible witnesses for their Lord. Kingdom.golf would love for them to become more vocal about their faith.
Why?
Because we, as Christ Followers, are called to "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations .... " Matthew 28:18-20.
The fields are ripe for the harvest in golf. These young men are a breath of fresh air on the golf scene and adored, especially, Rickie, who has set a new fashion trend on the Tour that is attracting young golfers around the world. Let's let these young (and not-so-young) golf fans know where Rickie and Justin's strength come from!!
Nothing radical, nothing brash or boastful, just the TRUTH; "I am the truth, the way and the life."
Where does your strength come from?
For all followers of Jesus Christ, the answer is......
The LORD!!
What other, better, answer could there be for the world of golf??
