He was 'rock-solid' for the last two+ weeks and he deserved to win it all. That's alot a cash; $14 Million, alot a cash!
I personally observed how he rocketed into confidence over the past month and the comeback from that "chubby" shot on 18 at the Deutsche Bank shows amazing resiliency and mental toughness. As Johnny Miller said at the presentation ceremony last night; "He's the real deal." I believe with Johnny that he could be a star over the next 4 or 5 years barring injury.
Anyway, it was a joy to watch the last few weeks how the drama unfolded and the quality of golf and competition was incredible. I really enjoyed watching. But, now we have a week plus to get ready for the Ryder Cup. Interesting how some of the pundits are questioning whether the hottest players on the US Tour may have been left out of the mix, but, the steady and an uber-competitive Europeans have a stacked deck to, possibly, trounce the Americans. We'll see won't we.
Being the Christian golf guy, I think I heard Billy say, "amen" when addressed at the interview. That's a term that can be used loosely these days, but, I'm pretty sure I heard it. A quick search of the Internet found no references to Billy's faith. So, whatever.
No judgement, just an observation. I sure enjoy watching him play golf.
Here's a great video highlighting Billy's workout regimen. Whew!!!
