The United Golf Network (UGN)!!

In our last post we identified Kingdom.golf, LLC had become the Managing Partner for UGN which has adopted the following Vision;

"Change the world of golf by empowering one golfer at a time to have their own global golf business that allows them to play more golf, make money and enjoy life."

This is a pretty grandiose vision, wouldn't you say?  I did!  But, as I have, now, studied and investigated as well as adjusted the model, I believe we just may have something here.

Who needs Dick Sports, BudgetGolf or the local golf shop?  Why not reap the rewards yourself?

Those who have been following Kingdom.golf, LLC (K.g, LLC) have known that our focus has been conducting golf tournaments for charity and, most evident on this site, has been Giving Others Loving Fellowship, G.O.L.F.

Now, we are glad to announce that K.g, LLC has been given the reigns of The United Golf Network (UGN) as Managing Partner!!

This seems like it may not fit with the activities of K.g, LLC or G.O.L.F., but, let's look a bit closer; 

Kingdom.golf LLC was established to do two things; 

1. Through Kingdom Corporate Golf reach out to organizations considering conducting a golf tournament for raising money and those which already conduct fundraising golf tournaments that need assistance in raising more money.
2. Take advantage of every opportunity to promote the platform of golf as a Christ Follower ministry and partner with ministries in golf to let the world know.  Additionally, K.g, LLC participates in professional golf events to conduct evangelism and set up opportunities for discipleship.

Well, how were we convinced that the opportunity to build the United Golf Network fit into those two activities?  


We had engaged with UGN back in late 2014 in order to have access to professional golf equipment and apparel to serve golf tournament clients and to determine if the "direct sales" format might be able to grow into a golf business of it's own.  We implemented the UGN direct sales model, but, it was not, necessarily, understandable on the outset and our intention was NOT to make it our primary business.

We went to visit the UGN headquarters in Clemmons, NC in late March and discovered that their leadership had encountered some challenges and the company had not been able to sustain it's synergy within the business model and with the direct sales directors; Golf Directors.  It was disappointing, but, while listening very intently to the structure, direction, mission and values of UGN and it's owners, I clearly heard the Lord speaking to me and saying, "You know, you could lead and run this company."  "No", I said, in my head, but, I couldn't stop the noise!  After a short while, I had to speak up and said to Brock Agee, "I apologize for being so forward, but, I believe I could run this company for you."  Brock said, "I'm glad to hear you say that, Bill, because we would like to talk to you about that."

Well, it took another couple of months, but, as of June 24, 2015, I am the Managing Partner for the United Golf Network.

I want to continue the discussion about this because it is very interesting to me; the way the Lord works as we stand ready to serve Him each and every day.

This blog is meant to chronicle this work.  I pray He will be edified by it.
